Greatest Pop Song Ever…
… at least according to Art Garfunkel. It’s defiitely up there; Paul’s best along with “Let It Be.” Incredible on headphones, try it out kiddies.

Random Memory
Blasting “Should Have Shot Paul” while in the McDonald’s drive-thru waiting for my Chicken McNuggets. You might be thinking…well maybe that happened last week or something. No, no, this is a random memory from October 2009.

Do any of you have quirky music memories?
Chuck Berry Eat It Holiday
See for yourself. It’s pretty cool.

Punk Rock =…

Rock and Roll Immortality! Rock and Roll emerged as a way for kids to rebel against their parents and their beliefs. As time went on, Rock died a slow corporate death. In the ashes of this tragedy, the rebellion was revived with Punk Rock. The Ramones, the greatest practicioners of the uprsing, brought Rock and Roll back to the youngsters and pretty soon they had something of their own, something that existed outside of the mainstream. Thus, without the constraint of corporate control, the fun and rebel rousing of the initial Rock boom can live forever through independent music. Thank God for Punk!

Wavves @ Great Scott

Wavves is coming through town on June 22, 2010. They’ll be playing at Great Scott, where they played in September (KLYAM was in attendance). That show was pretty solid…I mean I only recognized “So Bored” and “No Hope Kids,” but still was pretty solid. Is it worth ten singles? It may be worth ten singles just to see semi-new members Billy Hayes and Stephen Pope, formerly of Jay Reatard. I can’t really picture them playing along to noise.
