New Bill Music!
Well, not quite new lol, but finally available. Hopefully more will come, slowly, but surely they’re making their way to the the public and word around the campfire is that an album of Bill’s music will be released in the future. Bits from all of these songs were carefully and masterfully dipped into parts of Bill’s magnum opus, Rant in E-Minor. But, these are the songs in their entireties. “She’s A Woman” is my favorite. Check it out!

Why I Like JFK More Than Bill Clinton?…….

Well, now who gives a flying fuck?! What were we talking about? Ok, I’ll allow y’all to stare for a few more seconds………. ok ok that’s enough staring for now. Now focus! I like JFK more not because of any policy or inspiration or any of that horseshit; let’s face it they were both corporate puppets and mass murderers, just like all of their presidential buddies. But, what made them unique and my personal favorites was their charisma and “gotta love them” persona. No matter what these guys did, they could get away with it. Of course this included being the biggest philanderers God created. Now, why good old Johnny over good old Billy? Well, plain and simple: if you have all that power, you can pretty much do the wild thang with anyone… Bill Clinton slept with mostly unattractive, sometimes fat women, (to each his own) but John Kennedy slept with movie stars, specifically the hottest of any generation man will ever know. So, cheers to him. With all that being said, I still am against adultery, but I find that to be the least of evils these men have bestowed upon us. It’s really funny that this was the topic of discussion for much of my American Politics class today. Good Class. I also plan on writing more on JFK and the myth of his cult of personality as well as comparig said features to that of our current president. In time.
Well, I hope that pic of old Norma Jean brings some horny gentlemen (and lesbians) to the site!

Rage Against the American Movie Trailer
When I journey to the local cinema to view a film I highly anticipate, the last thing I want to see is a shitty trailer for a shitty flick. Even if the movie turns out to be decent, I always look back at the trailer and remember absolutely dismissing it. Why? Well, I’ll tell you why! Firstly, like I said before I want to dive right into the film I paid hard earned cash to see, not be inundated by poor excuses for marketing, which includes commericals, a major no no in a cinema. We see commercials everyday at home on TV, but, that’s not enough for the corporate cocksuckers, they have to follow you all the way to the movie theater as well. Secondly, this is going to sound ludicrous, even stupid perhaps, but the main flaw with trailers is the fact that their purpose is to make you see the movie. I know it sounds dumb, but I don’t like being coercioned into buying a product. Trailers suck the art right out of the films so they can appeal to certain demographics. Just watch the trailer for Fight Club it’s aimed towards “tough,” “manly” men, when that is exactly the kind of attitude the film condemns. I really disdain when the directors of these trailers try sooo hard to incorporte the “funny” parts: meaningless one liners, the “dramatic/sad” parts: meaningless one liners again, this time sadder and more pathetic, and the “scary” parts: lots of screaming, menacing music, and the most cliched and my most despised technique, the creepy, little girl voice. I fucking can’t stand that! Trailors should make you want to see the flick, but not make it obvious!
In spite of all this ranting, I must admit several trailors are unique and/or at least effectively use the aforementioned “boring” techniqus to woo me into checking out their movie. So, what’s my favorite trailor? 3 way tie: Pulp Fiction, Clerks, and The Devil and Daniel Johnston. So, here they are:

Weirdo Rippers…
No, not No Age, more like No Control haha. The disturbing, yet painfully hilarious effects of erasing a young miscreant’s Warcraft account.

Comments: This is just one of those albums that’s been sitting in the queue since approx. July waiting to be reviewed. In fact, this is a first-time listening review. Present on this album are very enticing elements of ’80s post-punk. For instance, I thought right away on Mirror’s Image “damnit, this could be a boring one,” but it turned out awesome. There’s no fucking around on Three Decades with the creepy factor turned way up. It’s strangely engaging as well. Who Can Say has a poppy synth that plays at certain points beneath layers of guitar effects. I have to give it up to this band for being at least partially deceiving. Their formula for success is basically combining really dark elements of shoe-gaze with retro upbeat post-punk. A lot of bands have tried out this formula, but The Horrors really seem to possess a “catchy-bility” element like none other; i.e the reverb/delay effect on Do You Remember and the heavy-metal yet noise-pop New Ice Age. Scarlet Fields maintains a scary effect, but has a Pixies-esque bass line that reconciles dark with light. I Only Think Of You had me mistaking Faris Badwan for Calvin Johnson. The title track has a soothing flow to it. The final track has an ambient dance vibe to it that sort of works. Overall, I like this piece of work.
Grade: 9.2

Question of the Week…?

This question is entirely influenced by The Needle Drop, as is this entire segment. Here it is:
What does Punk Rock Mean to You? Examples?
Just to get the ball rolling, here’s what I think. Punk Rock means to me, freedom to act, sound, look, smell, or taste however you like. The elements of attitude, integrity, and passion are clearly displayed. Artists are NOTsigned to major labels, with exceptions to early “Punk” artists. Lastly, music that is cutting edge and/or distinctive. For modern examples, my favorite punk bands are The Black Lips, Jay Reatard, The King Khan & BBQ Show, No Age, Mika Miko, and Wavves.
Pleaseeeee Comment!
