The King Khan & BBQ Show – Bad News Boys/”Alone Again”

We love The King Khan & BBQ Show, they’ve been a big part of KLYAM since day one. We recently saw the pair co-headline a series of amazing shows with the Black Lips. Now, we are greeted with a new album (first in five years) entitled Bad News Boys coming out on February 24th via everyone’s favorite label In the Red. Above you can hear the record’s killer opener “Alone Again.” Below is the tracklist for the new album.

03 Kiss My Sister’s Fist
04 Buy Bye Bhai
05 D.F.O.
06 We Are the Champion
07 When Will I Be Tamed?

Black Lips Bring Back Jack Hines!

Yerp, that’s good old Jack Hines in that video from May 30, 2003. Jack took over for original Lips guitarist Ben Eberbaugh after Eberbaugh’s tragic death in December 2002. He remained with the band until mid to late 2004, when Ian Saint Pé, the guitarist we’ve all come to know and love, replaced him and has been kicking it with the Lips ever since. Apparently now, however, Jack is back in the band filling in for Ian for a little while or possibly for good?. Damn, I’m going to miss Ian :(, but it will be interesting to see this line up on the upcoming mega Black Lips/KKBBQ tour this Fall. Bring back all that great We Did Not Know The Forest Spirit Made The Flowers Grow slime! I hope all is well with all y’all.

BOSTON FUZZSTIVAL 2014 LINE UP ANNOUNCED!

Fuzzstival
Hot damn, look at this line up! So many KLYAM faves!

In bold are my personal favorites. Purple bolded are KLYAM Records bands.

The show is being presented by Illegally Blind, the work of one Jason Trefts, and Trefts is also the man behind a sea of shows in the Boston area including last year’s first annual Fuzzstival, which was a hoot. This year will be even greater.

The whole shabang takes place on Saturday, August 2 at KLYAM’s favorite aboveground venue The Middle East in Cambridge. Upstairs from 1PM-5PM. Downstairs from 5PM- 1:30AM.
