Orwells Tour
We’ve been spoiled! Boston fans of Chicago’s The Orwells that is. These fellas have been in us, Boston that is, three times in 2013, and now at least two more times in 2014! On Thursday, February 6th, the dudes are opening for Arctic Monkeys and Deerhunter at Agganis Arena. In the following month, they are heading out on a month long tour all across these here United States sir; making a stop at Allston’s Great Scott on Tuesday, March 4th!. Brooklyn’s Mannequin Pussy put out a well fueled rock ‘n roll long play in 2013 called Gypsy Pervert; “Clue Juice” from that album got a video premiere at Impose a little while ago. It features some neat live footage.

I only caught a mere few minutes of Mannequin Pussy when they came around town with Lust-Cats of the Gutters in October so this time I KNOW to make proper arrangements to catch it ALL.

Black Lips, this damn band needs no introduction around here. Fuck, the name of our site is a Black Lips reference! Boston Black Lips freaks, you’ve been waiting for this moment for three years… on Saturday, April 19 KLYAM’s #1 band is hitting up the Paradise and they’re bringing along their Southern garage punk brethren Natural Child! Been meaning to see those guys live for years!

FAST APPLE Presents: Guantanamo Baywatch @ Charlie’s Kitchen – 9PM – $5 – Portland’s garage surf punkers, Guantanamo Baywatch are hitting up Boston this Monday and speaking of which – word around the campfire is that they have a split 7″ coming out on Suicide Squeeze on December 3 with Natural Child!
