This website isn’t really like Pandora or Last.fm in that you can’t actually listen to similar music. TuneGlue is set up to simply display a web of related bands and artists. For instance, I typed in “Jay Reatard” and I got six matches: Nobunny, Angry Angles, Terror Visions, Cheap Time, Lost Sounds, and the Reatards. If you then click to “expand” matches for say Nobunny, you will be given a list of more bands. So far I’ve found that the list of matches have a predisposition to previous bands that members of the band have been in or bands that come from the same label as the one that you initially searched for. Overall, TuneGlue is a great way to expand your musical palate and I think you should check it out. TuneGlue didn’t pay me to write this by the way. If it sounds like an advertisement, that’s purely coincidental. I’m just sayin’.

Pete Doherty Has A Website That Makes Noises
There’s no much content, but if you want to give “Peter” your e-mail address, he will follow up sometime with goodies.
In other news, he went to court for cocaine a few days ago.
KLYAMER Shuffle: Andrew

Here is what I have playing when I hit shuffle on my ipod
The Futureheads- Struck Dumb (probably one of my favorite bands out of England right now)
Morrissey- Tomorrow (his so-so songs are better then some of the ‘hot’ new artists best work)
The Walkmen- Angela Surf City (defiantly one of the stronger songs on the new album “Lisbon”)
The All-American Rejects- The Wind Blows (bit of a guilty pleasure band)
The National- Lucky You {Daytrotter Session} (an ok song not their best work)
Julian Plenti- No Chance Survival (from Interpol’s lead singer’s solo album, which is actually one of my favorite albums of the last couple of years)
Hot Hot Heat- Good Day to Die (great band but a weak song from probably their worst album)
Gorillaz- Re-Hash (good song from a very original music project)
Tool- Rosetta Stonned (the vocals are amazing on this song)
Arcade Fire- Suburban War (I have really grown to like this song, also Arcade Fire is my pick at the Grammy’s)
“…….Nobody”
Initial Reaction To Trash Humpers

IMDB reviewer OChrist’s feelings on this piece of work are pretty much mine exactly:
(LINK) So Harmony Korine (a great name for a gangster’s moll) was able to replicate the look of a crappy 8th generation VHS videotape? That’s some feat. So he got a bunch of irritating exhibitionists to unconvincingly disguise themselves as old people and then set them loose to hump trashcans and break old TV sets? Bravo. The only true accomplishment here is getting intelligent people to A) masochistically sit through this non-movie and then B) actually try to critique and interpret it like it’s something more than the pathetic indulgence of someone who has so much contempt for his audience that he makes Marguerite Duras look like Nora Ephron.
So when Chris ends up doing his review for this, he’ll be attempting B).
