Ty Segall “My Head Explodes” Video/ “I Am Not A Game” White Fence Collab
So the following may or may not be the official video for Ty’s outstanding Goodbye Bread track “My Head Explodes”. The video says it is official so we’ll accept that as truth. Either way, it’s less psychedelic and more carnage than the other Goodbye Bread vids.
Secondly, Ty has a collaborative album coming out in April with White Fence. It’s called Hair and a couple days ago a song on it called “I Am Not A Game” was made available for listening pleasure. Click to check it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YkL26bcfUG0&feature=related
New Walkmen LP “Heaven” Coming June 5 (Fat Possum)

Nice! I hope this is more rock ‘n roll than Lisbon, but I guess we’ll have to just wait and see.
Hunx Show Moved To 4/2 @ Great Scott

Formerly at Radio on Tuesday April 3, it has been moved back one day to April 2 and will be at Great Scott in Allston. 21+ and Heavy Cream still opens. Cool!
Watch Ty Segall Perform “Caesar” Live (3/24/12)
I read a comment yesterday on a Ty song thing on Last.Fm. To summarize, it said that most bands should probably just stop making music. They have failed. This sorta explains that:
Upcoming Release: “The MaximumRockNRoll EP” (NOBUNNY)
Coming forth on Record Store Day (April 21) is what will most likely be an incredible piece of music from one of our favorites, Nobunny!!!! It’s called The MaximumRockNRoll EP and is “minimum fidelity and maximum punk attack”. That sounds good I tell ya! It will be released by the great Goner Records.
Side A: “Assholes” “At The Mall” “I Can’t Stop”
Side B: “I See Swastikas” “Lizard Liar$ & Sluts For Hire”
New Black Lips Interview/Live Footage!
This is one of the better ones (of dozens) I’ve seen in terms of atypical interview questions and fantastic live footage. Great shout out to Jay, Joe!
Watch Mikal Cronin Violitionist Sessions !
Here is one of three: “Situation” woo!
SOTD: “Shag Carpet” (Wallpaper)
This is a little known gem of sorts from Wallpaper, a band that was at one point signed to K Records. “Shag Carpet” is a track from On The Chewing Gum Ground (2008, K Records). This song is interesting because it’s the perfect combination of Is This It era riffage and tougher/Australian-sounding punk. Recommended listening to those of all rock and roll backgrounds, whether you prefer early 2000s revival or some of the more recent surf/lo-fi/punk stuff.
