WERS
Unfortunately we missed the big Best Coast/Those Darlins Royale show last Wednesday :( but I’m glad some other folks did. Check out some reviews below of their Boston show.

And why not give ya some nice live vids. Here’s “Boyfriend”
Some classic footage of our favorite rock ‘n’ roll band Black Lips at the Cirle Bar in New Orleans, LA (Ian’s hometown!) from Janurary 25, 2005. I believe they were on tour with The King Khan & BBQ Show, in fact you can catch the dynamic duo in some of the crowd shots from these videos. Damn, I’d give my left nut to have seen both bands just one night on that tour!

Yo, watch Ian sing his heart out on “Time,” classic! I haven’t seen this in their sets yet. This is a recent video of a show at the Empty Bottle in Chicago. You can find the other parts on You Tube as well. I recommend you do that.

Unless I’m hallucinating, I just saw/heard The Strange Boys’ “Be Brave” in a Dell commercial. Anyone else seen this?

Ahh Autumn, that time of the year when the leaves turn brown, the kids return to school, and Those Darlins headline in Boston! Well, at least based on the past two years, which KLYAM attended and reviewed: https://klyam.com/2011/10/20/concert-review-those-darlins-mid-east-downstairs/ and https://klyam.com/2010/09/19/concert-review-those-darlins/
Those Darlins are kickin’ it with fellow Nashville female rockers, Heavy Cream (by the way, couldn’t think of a more perfect combo) and hitting up Allston’s Great Scott on Sunday, October 28, 2012.

By the way, if any of you Bostonians caught the Darlins opening for Best Coast the other night at the Royale, how were they? How was Best Coast?
