Those Darlins/Strange Boys @ TT The Bears

A tour has been recently announced:

Those Darlins (11:40) are on the bill as the headliner with The Strange Boys (10:30) and Gentleman Jesse and His Men (9:30) opening. Chris and I saw The Strange Boys open for Spoon a few months ago. We saw Gentleman Jesse and His Men open for Black Lips in March 2009. Never have we seen Those Darlins, although we did hear about them playing a while back.

VW, BH, DDG Tour

How convenient! Three of my favorite bands will be playing together at the same location on a little tour. The Boston gig will be at the Bank of America Pavilion. Naturally, I’m going to see what I can do to make this. It’s still ways away: September 12. Side note: Dum Dum Girls are hot shit as an opening band, aren’t they? First, King Khan and BBQ then Girls and now this.

GIRLS/DUM DUM GIRLS

Girls and Dum Dum Girls will be touring together in a little while.

As far as Boston area location, they will be playing at the Paradise Rock Club.

The date? April 1, 2010!

Yeah, buddy, that week is going to be awesome. The Black Lips start it off on the 25th and then you have Deerhunter on the 27th and then you have Beach House on the 28th (I’m still up in the air, but I kind of want to go now) and then this! Damn, bro!

KK + Shrines Spring 2010 Tour

The fact is King Khan and the Shrines have just announced a Spring 2010 in North America. Their little three week jaunt begins in Atlanta, Georgia and ends in Indio, California, which happens to be the site of the Coachella Festival. They are going to be heading up the East Coast to North Carolina, but just when you thought they’d keep going north, they will go west and back south again! They will be playing some major cities in the South/Southwest/Northwest region on route to California. The way I figure it, they will undoubtedly be coming back to Boston in April or May…most likely May. I’m hoping for that.

VIVIAN GIRLS @ GREAT SCOTT

Vivian Girls, the last remaining great all-girl group that put out a record in 2009, will be playing at Allston’s Great Scott on March 8. Unfortunately for some folks that might suck because it’s on a Monday night. Tickets are $10 and are available for purchase at the venue or online. Opening for the Girls will be Male Bonding, a pretty sweet UK noise/garage outfit.
