KLYAMer Shuffle: Chris

You know the routine, I turned on my ipod and hit shuffle…

The Stooges– “Death Trip” (1973)- Great way to kick off the list!

Korn– “Blind” (1994)- This is a good example of how I am not lying when I put these shuffles up! Though this is actually a fairly badass song for what its worth.

Meat Puppets– “Never to Be Found” (1994)- Haven’t heard this in a while.

The Replacements– “White and Lazy” (1982)- Funny, bluesy number from the boys.

Sonic Youth– “Shadow of A Doubt” (1986)- Apparently my shuffle is reading Our Band Could Be Your Life

Black Lips– “Take My Heart” (2009)- Not the best from my favorites, but I’ll take it.

Slayer– “Criminally Insane” (1986)- From Reign in Blood, one of the few metal records that have stuck with me over the years.

Run-D.M.C.- “Walk This Way” (1986)- Another song I haven’t listened to in ages.

Nirvana– “Milk It” (1993)- One of the noisier/rougher cuts from In Utero

Ramones
– “Cretin Hop” (1977)- One of the best album openers.

Flipper– “Sex Bomb” (1982)- Epic Closer!!! (for this shuffle)

Pixies– U-Mass (1991)- One of my favorites from one of my favorite bands.

Gheorghe Zamfir– The Lonely Shepherd (don’t know actual year of release, but it appears on the Kill Bill Volume 1 sountrack, released in 2003)- Epic as fuck!

Mark Sultan– Cursed World (2007)- A decent tune from one of my top singers.

Dinosaur Jr– Pieces (2009)- Solid opener from last year’s Farm.

Arctic Monkeys– Cornerstone (2009)- I love this song! My favorite from also last year’s Humbug.

Tool– Parabola (2001)- Tool (and I feel like this song specifically) always seems to come up on these shuffles :)

Big Black– Bazooka Joe (1986)- Another fucked up, but sonically sound number from one of the best bands to come out of the 80s by far.

Lou Reed– Perfect Day (1972)- Lou’s finest solo work.

Black Lips!– Transcendental Light (2007)- Ian on Vocals! which we will be seeing again soon :)

Weezer– Island in the Sun (2001)- A fairly decent song from post-classic Weezer.

KLYAMER Shuffle

So, I hit shuffle on my ipod and the rest is history…

“One Man Revolution”- The Nightwatchman (Tom Morello) (2007)- Badass!

“Menu?”- Bill Hicks (recorded in 91, released in 2002) Bill ponders why Taco Bell has a menu

“Be Quiet (and Drive Far Away)”- Deftones (1997)- One of their strongest songs

“Loretta’s Scars”- Pavement (1992)- S & E classic

“Street Fighting Man”- Rolling Stones (1968)- 60s Revolution!

“Orange Spider”- mewithoutYou (2006)- “Orange Spider, Orange Leaf”

“Dancin’ Fool”- Frank Zappa (1979)- Gotta love that bizarre Zappa!

“Ocean Man”- Ween (1997)- Classic Ween from their incredible Mollusk LP

“Aja”- Steely Dan (1977)- I don’t really like this song or that genre of music anymore, but for what it is worth they clearly demonstrate excellent musicianship.

“Take Your Clothes Off When You Dance”- Frank Zappa (1968)- Damn, more Zappa!

Let’s see some other KLYAMER Shuffles. Be honest!
