Jeff “Monoman” Conolly of legendary 70s Boston Punk/Rock and Roll bands DMZ and Lyres passed away at 69. I didn’t know him and have only listened to a little bit of his music. I became particularly fond of DMZ during lockdown. Both bands were integral in the development of Punk Rock. Straight up fun, Garage Punk that clearly had massive influence on several bands including many I admire. In fact, I think I first heard of them through covers from people like Teengenrate. It’s been cool hearing all of the stories (both good and bad!) from various rockers and older heads on my social media. My condolences to friends and family. RIP. – Chris
