It starts out sounding like the Velvet Underground, but wouldn’t be out of place on your “modern rock” commercial radio. I don’t know enough about Sonic Youth to scream O.M.G. SELL OUTS but I find it ironic that once they leave Geffen for Matador, they put out a song that could fit right in with commercial rock.
I don’t think this sells out at all BBT. In fact, they have had more accessible tunes in the past. I don’t heard commercial radio at all. Unfortunately, they tend to shun Sonic Youth. Oh well, I have the song I can listen to it, I don’t need to tune in to some lame ass station (of course not WERS lol) to hear ’em.
