That was shot in the ’80s and early ’90s. Maury Povitch’s show “A Current Affair” ran in the late ’80s early ’90s. There’s Manson footage with Geraldo also from 1987 or so.
Kyle: It isn’t really an obsession, but more of a fascination lol, but the recent Manson posts can be attributed to my research paper on Manson and his representation in the media. I found this video hilarious, so I posted it.
Certainly it is. They were the Maury Povitch 3 and all three of them ended up in the Spaceshits but this band started several months before the Spaceshits and for several months the three of them played shows for both bands every other week it seemed. Not long before, “A Current Affair” was a tabloid TV show that was on every day in the Montreal area at 7:30 pm I think it was, with sensationalist promotions. Those were the days when Geraldo was on the air also with this kind of stuff – I think he’s on Fox News now, which shows that he has gone down in the world. Geraldo’s show was sort of like the precursor to Jerry Springer’s and he also did sensationalist shows like the whole Al Capone’s vault one where they suggested that there was hidden treasure or papers or corpses hidden there but it turned out that there was only debris. Povitch I think ended up doing his own Geraldo-type show. Anyway, these are the people who wanted to talk to Manson and put him on their shows.
Maury Povich? King Khan’s first band was named after this man.
I love the manson obsession! does he look great for 76 or what??!
