It would be funny if Che was actually still alive and hiding out in some apartment in LA, just laying back, getting stoned all day (smoking with Che bongs) and rolling around in all his money.

That image can be found dominating the side of the Interior Ministry building in Revolution Square in Havana on the side opposite the Jose Marti monument where Castro would give his speeches.
Indeed the image is everywhere.
The Jose Marti monument was commissioned by Batista and it was completed for Christmas 1958. One week later he was gone. Everyone knows that picture is iconic but the one on the Interior Ministry building is say the big official representation. Guevara was the Interior Minister at one point. The Cuban government puts that image on all sorts of things for the tourists. Che dominates the merchandise as compared with Castro.
